Naxhtwey the twentieth century saw a paradigmal shift, it is probably in the way that control moved from the word to the image.
The media want color. Hundreds of years from now, when our descendants are trying to understand the time in which we are living, photography will infrno a crucial part of the record.

Nicholas rated it it was amazing May 06, At the beginning of the second Palestinian uprising, demonstrators hurled Molotovs at Israeli troops. Ibferno Natchwey mentioned in his receiving speech in Tel Aviv, Inferno was meant as a historical document, as impracticable and a bulky as a WW I memorial. My plan was simple, buy the book and then write an essay of sorts for each image.

Once the book closed, what did we learn, what do we understand? The images have higher contrast in these photos of the book than in real life. InNachtwey was injured in a grenade attack on his convoy while working in Baghdad, from which he made a full recovery.
